Priya O'Shea's Hair

At Millimetre, we’re big fans of The Great British Bake Off, and this year is no exception. And this week there was one thing we couldn’t take our eyes off (and it’s not Micheal’s gross unusual black icing). We have a hair crush on Priya O’Shea’s beautiful glossy bob.

Priya’s a marketing consultant by day and a whizz in the kitchen by night. Although ep 5 saw the judges tear into her lemon and raspberry custard pies, she managed to save her spot on the show with a mocktail pina colada cake.

We’ve seen the bob all over the media and catwalks this year and Priya has clearly jumped on the bandwagon with her sleek, side-part bob. If you’re trying to match her dazzling shine, why not try one of our top five tips for shiny hair.

Join Prue Leith and Paul Hollywood on the Great British Bake Off on Channel 4, Tuesdays at 8pm. Or contact your local Mm salon to get a shine-enhancing treatment today.

Best Dressed Emmys 2019

Best dressed: Emmys 2019

Last Sunday night, we enjoyed watching the 71st Emmy Awards, especially all the style-inspiring red carpet looks.

Check out some of our favourite looks below…

Zendaya
The American actress and singer has been dominating the red carpets this awards season (she even somehow managed to upstage Michael B Jordan by wearing this amazing Berluti suit at the New York Fashion Week).

And she did not disappoint at the Emmys. Clad in a sheer green bodice dress with a stunning silk skirt and thigh-high slit, Zendaya once again slayed on the red carpet.

Sandra Oh
Sandra Oh, the Canadian American actress is well known for her roles as Cristina Yang on ABC’s Grey’s Anatomy and Eve Polastri in the BBC America spy thriller series Killing Eve.

And last night she looked like a goddam princess in a beautiful salmon pink, plunge neckline ballgown. Please can someone give her the crown she deserves?!

Natasha Lyonne
Natasha Lyonne, is an American actress, writer, producer and director well known her for her role in Orange is The New Black and Russian Doll.

At this year’s Emmys she gave us some real edge in her quirky and unique gold dress. The gold dress, the red hair, the pink lips, the chunky jewellery – just the perfect awards ceremony look.

Michelle Williams
This year, most of the winners gave us memorable speeches, from human rights to Hollywood diversity to politic topics, but one of them really touched us was from Michelle Williams.

She spoke about equal pay for women and about women’s rights all over the world. We also lovely her strapless sequin dress and sleek blonde bob.

Top trends at London Fashion Week 2019

At Millimetre we love new style inspiration so have spent the last week hunting down the top trends from London Fashion Week 2019. Here are some of our favourite seasonal trends…

Long Hair
Long hair is back in the game! Last year it was all about bobs but now it’s time to take a break from the restyle and grow your locks! Hair won’t grow? Remember regular trims will make your hair grow faster and healthier.

Autumn colours
Another trend we spotted this week was some luxurious warm reds, browns and oranges. The perfect colours to start the Fall season, we’ll be bringing the inspiration back into our salons.

’60s vibes
London Fasion Week took some inspiration from the ’60s this year! The catwalks were filled with bright colours, braids and flowers – bring on the hippy vibes!

Androgyny
Catwalks and collections are becoming more and more gender-fluid, and we loved some of the looks this year – especially the almost-no-makeup, cropped hair look and big collars.
